Background

A leading pharma company wanted to develop an online Knowledge Hub for marketers and sales managers that aligned all their learning materials, tools and resources to their processes. They wanted the Hub to be the ‘online destination’ for delivering a large range of knowledge to their sales people and marketers worldwide.

Challenge

To create a knowledge sharing environment from an entire range of diverse content.

Solution

We developed robust information architecture for their content, ensuring that information was clearly categorised and labelled. This made knowledge logical, in full context, and quick to retrieve.

The Knowledge Hub also acted as a communication platform to broadcast news and feature articles to their markets. Through clever features such as a Quick eNewsletter Tool, email newsletters can be generated and broadcasted in seconds at the touch of a button.

The Knowledge Hub also encourages knowledge sharing and content recommendations. An easy to use Content Management System and Site Editor enable content to be updated on an on-going basis by anyone. Security enables content intended for a limited user group to be included on the site as well, ensuring that the site provides a complete resource.

Impact

Site analysis and user surveys have proved that the Knowledge Hub is highly rated, both in terms of ease of use and user satisfaction. Most importantly, users perceive the site to have a direct impact on their work, adding significant value. Management are encouraged by the user’s response to the site and are planning new projects to expand both the content and use of this online channel.
